Run by the CDG, it covers temporary and contract agents and staff of many public bodies.

Self-employed and liberal professions
CNSS – Self-employed workers
Traders, craftspeople and liberal professionals contribute to the CNSS under a scheme separate from the one for employees.

- Rollout: the scheme applies profession by profession, with dedicated texts (e.g. adouls, bailiffs, tour guides). The CNSS manages it; there is no separate fund.
- Steps: ask your professional body whether your profession is covered, then contact the CNSS.
Moroccans living abroad
Retirement for Moroccans living abroad (MRE)
If you worked in Morocco and abroad, you may be entitled to several pensions, paid by each country.

- Agreements: Morocco has social security agreements with several countries, including France, Belgium and Spain, which often allow work periods in both countries to be added together.
- Voluntary contributions: you may be able to keep contributing to the CNSS from abroad; ask for the current rules. Moroccan and foreign pensions can generally be combined.
- Steps: contact each fund (CNSS, CMR or CIMR in Morocco, and the fund of your country of residence).
